Description: The Customer Application Day provides an opportunity for the Mechanical Simulation user to work on any problem of his/her interest in a supervised, collaborative environment. The instructor is
available to provide guidance and discuss the best approach to problem setup and solution. Typical discussion areas include planning the analysis, geometry preparation, review of contact/joint
definitions, mesh control, realistic load and support definition, and evaluating results. The customer is invited to provide the analysis geometry and problem description to the instructor in advance
if possible.
This course is currently scheduled on the following dates:
Duration: 2 Days Cost: $1200 Prerequisites: A basic knowledge of dynamics and strength of materials (material modeling) is highly recommended.
Knowledge of the physics of transient dynamics events is also recommeded.
A basic Knowledge of ANSYS Mechanical in Workbench is advantageous but not required.
Audience: This course is designed for new users who want to become proficient with Explicit Dynamics in Workbench.
Description: You will focus on learning core-modeling skills in this comprehensive, hands-on course. After completing the course you will be well prepared to work effectively on a wide range of transient dynamics applications.

Duration: 2 Days Cost: $1200 Description: The ANSYS CFX FSI course is a two-day advanced course covering modeling approaches for fluid-structure interaction applications using ANSYS CFX and ANSYS Mechanical. The course will cover mesh deformation in CFX and setup, solution and convergence of two-way FSI simulations. Alternative topics that can be covered include one-way FSI simulations, rigid body motion simulations and use of the immersed solid method in ANSYS CFX. Students should have experience running ANSYS CFX. Some prior experience using ANSYS Mechanical is recommended.
The advanced fluid structure interaction modeling course also has several tutorials that the students can work through during class.
