CFX Introductory Course

Prerequisites: Bachelor\'s degree in related engineering field

Course Topics Include:
  • Working associatively with CAD geometry for CFD analyses
  • Creating parametric geometry with ANSYS DesignModeler for CFD
  • Creating CFD specific meshes with CFX-Mesh and ICEM CFD (CAD2Mesh)
  • Introduction to the CFX user interface in ANSYS Mechanical Simulation
  • Completing a parametric CFD simulation using CFX
  • Introduction to the physics preprocessor - CFX-Pre
  • Physics setup, boundary conditions, solver manager
  • Postprocessing results in CFX-Post
  • Migrating from FLOTRAN to CFX
Each course topic is followed by 'hands-on' exercises.
